Song: Chopin: Nocturne in C sharp minor
13th century inspired
Also heavily inspired by dantes inferno
I worked with adama, Melissa, Freddie and deacon.
We started by allocating different sins to each person, combining some of these that were similar so that all the sins were represented.
Our piece was mainly physical theater as this is how we wanted to portray the sins so they could be visually stated and understood from the audience.
We started with lust, which was portrayed through Melissa, as she walked around us all manipulating us into being in love with her and to her command.
We then moved to greed/gluttony, which I performed, where I walked around looking and pretended to steal from them, then going for the audience I was dragged away as I had gone to far.
Then we moved onto wrath, portrayed by adama, where she would slam on the floor and run at the audience as she was constrained by Freddie and deacon and me and Melissa then gated her in, as she had to face her sin.
After this we then did envy, where we had Melissa and adama sharing a close intimate embrace which Freddie gets envious of Melissa and pushes her away to take adama away with him.
The final one we explored was pride and sloth. This one was portrayed by deacon where he made us go down instead of him, contrasting when we all went down for are own sins. We then made a throne for him, which showed his pride of himself as he then fell asleep, showing sloth, as we picked him up and put him onto the floor.
We ended around deacon lying on the floor all saying our sins then getting up in cannon and walking off leaving deacon center stage.
