Robs lesson: working with visual stimulus

In todays lesson in small groups of three, we worked with out visual stimulus that we had to pick apart to create a visual performance.

I worked with Sam and Melissa and started off by mind mapping around the image and came up with words and actions that complimented it. Then from this we came up with a short ideal and story of a father and his daughters that didn't seem to see him, but in actual reality they could, they just chose to ignore him.

For props and set we used and table and chair, along with a water bottle. This acted as a table in which the father sat and contemplated what he was doing. Then from this we started to add movements, purcsion using the table and hands, phrases like "we can see him".

All of these came together in a short collaborative performance piece that had room for development.
